Bob Soeters
Disher Design & Development
Bob Soeters has been employed at Disher Design & Development since 2001. He was the 4th employee of a new start up and has been a part of growing the organization to over 40 employees. He currently serves in a leadership capacity, including leading an engineering team, leading the Finance/Human Resources team, being the corporate Treasurer and Secretary, and is part of the Advisory Board.
Prior work experience includes various engineering, finance and manufacturing positions at Prince Corporation and Steelcase. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and has completed post-graduate business studies at the University of Toledo and Davenport University.
Bob has extensive experience and knowledge in Finance (pricing strategies, profitability, cost analysis, month end reporting, QuickBooks, collections, Employee Stock Ownership, and cash flow management) and Human Resources (career development, team benefits, performance systems and evaluations, and how to attract and retain talent).
Bob enjoys volunteering and has served as a Sunday school teacher, church usher, Zeeland Recreation Department coach, and other volunteer needs. He is currently on the Ottawa County Workforce Development Board and volunteers for a local Sunday morning breakfast ministry.
Bob strives to make a positive difference with people he interacts with. This can happen by helping develop other teammates, helping business partners such as customers and suppliers, and helping others who are less fortunate. He welcomes being a resource to assist Lakeshore Advantage business garden startup companies.
